Edward Lewis Tobinick is an American physician who is the founder of the Institute of Neurological Recovery. Dr. Tobinick is a leading innovator in the field of neurological therapeutics, with more than a dozen issued U.S. patents, and more than twenty peer-reviewed scientific publications. By invitation Dr. Tobinick has been an invited expert reviewer for the medical journals Brain Research, CNS Drugs, Current Alzheimer Research, Experimental Neurology, Future Neurology, Journal of Neurochemistry, Journal of Neuroimmunology, Neuroscience and Pharmaceutical Medicine. Dr. Tobinick's inventions include novel methods of local administration of anti-TNF molecules, including etanercept, for treatment of neuroinflammatory disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, sciatica, and stroke. His pioneering etanercept treatment methods have been utilized at the INR for more than a decade.
